A warm Highland welcome
from Florence and Jack MacNicol, your hosts at Braeside House. Fort
William is a fantastic place to enjoy your holiday - steeped in
history, stunning scenery and loads of fun things to do.
Florence and Jack would like to invite you to spend some
time at Braeside House, where genuine hospitality and warm humour
are always available.
Braeside House is homely and comfortable with two double bedrooms
and one twin bedded room, all of which have en-suite facilities. The house was built in 1999 and just last year the conservatory
dining room and lounge were added. The new space offers the
most
fantastic views across Loch Linnhe and to the Ardgour hills.
Braeside is centrally located, situated near all local amenities
and only
a 5 minute walk from the main High Street and shopping centre.
You'll enjoy great Scottish breakfasts using
the best of local ingredients and if you have any special dietary
requirements you just have to let us know and we'll do everything
we can to cater for you. The extensive breakfast menu includes venison
sausages, trout fillets, scrambled eggs and oatcakes.
At Braeside House we run a no smoking
establishment, 'however' we have provided a 'Gasebo', where smoking
and no smoking guests can relax, and if they wish to do so provide
their own wine, and drink a bottle or two of this fine beverage,
while they gaze across Loch Linnhe to the mountains, beyond and
above Treslaig's croft's & dwellings.

Activities |
The area offers substantial
outdoor pursuits such as horse riding, golf, fishing, mountaineering,
watersports, canoeing, hillwalking, mountain biking and ski-ing in
the winter months at Nevis Range Ski Centre or nearby Glencoe.
As well as outdoor pursuits, if you want to take things a bit easier,
Fort William has a fine choice of visitor attractions for you to enjoy.
You can visit the Dew of Ben Nevis Distillery for a tour, take a trip
up on the Nevis Range gondola, see wonderful gemstones and crystals
at Treasures of the Earth Exhibition or take a Crannog Cruise to Seal
Island. The Jacobite Steam Train also runs from Fort William along
the Road to the Isles during the summer months. |
